Hamlin J.
Endicott, founder and owner of Sawgrass Books, was born in Delaware in the Year
of the Dragon under the sign of Taurus. He has lived in several U.S. states and
Europe. Some of his favorite activities include: traveling, bike riding, food
and wine, birding, 50s jazz and book collecting. When not doing these things at
his home in North Georgia, he can be found at some of his favorite travel
destinations. Some of these places are the American Southwest, New York City,
Great Smoky Mountains and ancestry hunting in Great Britain. Before becoming a
bookseller he was a marketing specialist in the U.S. hospitality industry with
an emphasis on restaurant sales and menu design.
Philosophy
My favorite books growing up were the 1964 World Book
encyclopedia set and my grandmother's National Geographic collection. I have
found that one of the best gifts one can give or receive is a good book from
someone special.
